Manchester United will have to act fast if they want to sign Russian star Aleksandr Golovin this summer as he inches closer to a move to Serie A top dogs Juventus.

The midfielder is regarded as one of Jose Mourinho’s summer targets and the Portuguese manager has reportedly been hoping to recruit him after the World Cup.

Golovin was in fact the reason Mourinho travelled to watch the Russia vs Austria friendly recently, according to Inside Futbol. However, the Red Devils are not the only team who are pursuing his signature at the moment.

The Mirror are reporting that Juventus have taken the first step among the player’s several suitors by opening talks with CSKA Moscow over a transfer deal.

Juve have reportedly employed an intermediary who has been working on their behalf to pull the deal off ahead of United.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Monaco are also rumoured to be keeping tabs on the midfielder.
