Jose Mourinho’s men have been looking fairly exciting so far in pre-season and things are going according to plan ahead of what will be a demanding 2017/18 campaign.

United, in Mourinho’s second season in charge, cannot necessarily use transition as an excuse for failing to challenge for the Premier League title.

That is why our performances in America thus far have to be taken somewhat seriously because once the friendlies are completed, it will be Real Madrid to face in the Super Cup.

Interestingly, the same side is up next on the Red Devils’ fixture list in this summer’s long tour and Sunday’s affair will provide a decent assessment of what is to come in next month’s European clash.

The likes of Ander Herrera, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku and of course Marcus Rashford appeared to be in very solid shape on Thursday as Manchester City were put to sword.

Most of those players should once again feature this weekend but I would personally like to see the likes of Juan Mata and Anthony Martial also get involved from the start.

With Mourinho already confirming that Axel Tuanzebe, Tony Fosu-Mensah, Matteo Darmian and Demetri Mitchell will start, here’s my predicted line-up…
