Red Devils reach agreement over transfer of experienced ace
Jose Mourinho has agreed to let go of a familiar first team star according to reports from the British media this weekend.
The Manchester United manager has witnessed his side fall well behind league leaders Manchester City after a run of underwhelming results in recent weeks.
Thus, Mourinho is expected to sanction a few moves in the winter to improve his squad’s hopes of winning the Premier League title.
The Sunday Mirror are claiming that the Red Devils have reached an agreement with Besiktas over the sale of Marouane Fellaini in January.
United are reportedly set to sell the Belgium international to the Turkish club for a fee of around $10.5 million (£8 million).
Fellaini moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2013 as one of the players brought in during the brief reign of David Moyes.
The departure of the 29-year-old might weaken United’s aerial threat and plan B off the bench but Mourinho has apparently been informed by the board that he has to offload certain players before any new additions can be allowed.
