Gary Lineker was not too shy to let out his thoughts on Manchester United’s current position after the frustrating Manchester derby at the Etihad stadium on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho was forced to make some important changes in midfield ahead of the match, following the news that key star Paul Pogba would be sidelined due to a fitness issue.

The Red Devils were put under much pressure by their local rivals in the first half of the derby before David Silva finally broke the deadlock.

Sergio Aguero scored with a thunderous effort early in the second half before substitute Romelu Lukaku earned a penalty kick which was scored by Anthony Martial to make matters look interesting.

Ultimately, the points and bragging rights belonged to Manchester City as the home side scored their third goal of the game to wrap up a bad defeat for the Red Devils.

BBC pundit Gary Lineker concluded after the derby that United were now very far behind Pep Guardiola’s side.
