Manchester United appear to be considering the signing of more young forwards despite the availability of Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho was delighted to see his side secure their second win in a row in the Premier League as they managed to defeat West Brom 2-1 at the Hawthorns on Sunday.

Even so, the United manager is aware that spending in the winter is virtually a necessity if the Red Devils are to somehow pip Manchester City to the league title.

Therefore, Mourinho is supposedly lining up a move to sign promising Brazilian star Malcom according to a report by the Sun and other outlets in the British media.

The 20-year-old is a bright prospect who is being chased by several big clubs after a number of superb displays for the French outfit so far this season.

United are reportedly willing to offer up to $40 million (£30 million) for Malcolm who would in all likelihood arrive as a potential replacement for the out-of-favour Henrikh Mhkitaryan.
