Manchester United have a showdown against Chelsea to come, five days after the loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has improved the team significantly after the departure of Jose Mourinho in December and they are on course to win some sort of silverware at the end of the season, regardless of the negativity from some fans after Tuesday’s game.

Injuries to Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard mean the rest of United squad who have not been receiving much game time of late – players like Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku – now have a chance to step up to the plate and show their quality.

Chelsea are a team we can surely put to sword, even at Stamford Bridge where they have been at their strongest this season.

Their thrashing away to Manchester City last weekend is very likely to have dented the Blues’ confidence ahead of Monday’s game and the Red Devils can surely take advantage of that.
