Jose Mourinho has always been open about his plans in the transfer window and it will definitely not be a different story this year.

The Manchester United manager has witnessed most of his new additions from last summer impress as the club looks to finish the season as runners-up in the Premier League while a place in the final of the FA Cup against Chelsea has been secured.

But most of us United fans will be seeking bigger and better things from the team next season and that would mean more business being done during the summer.

With Michael Carrick needing a replacement while the future of Marouane Fellaini remains unclear, at least two new midfielders will be required.

Thus, Mourinho has confirmed that a pair of new recruits is likely to be his priority going into the summer.

“We are going to invest the basic to improve our squad,” Mourinho said.

“We need to find a replacement for Michael Carrick, if Marouane Fellaini leaves, we need to find a replacement for Marouane Fellaini

“There is always in the group of players, in the squad, there is always a player or a couple of players, they are not playing a lot, and they will try obviously to leave.”
