Mourinho could move to sign $62.9m star and bolster United’s front-line
Jose Mourinho is planning to reignite his interest in signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan after Manchester United’s failed approach to land the signature of Gareth Bale.
The Red Devils manager will be eager to see his side improve upon their second place finish in the Premier League last season, after dropping far behind Manchester City in the race for the title during much of the campaign.
Perisic was a player whom Mourinho was very much interested is signing last summer but the 29-year-old somehow remained in Italy despite all the rumours.
Manchester Evening News are currently reporting that the United boss is set to make another attempt to sign the attacker, who is valued at $69.2million (£48million) by Inter Milan.
That is the amount which United refused to pay a year ago, but 12 months later, the inflation of currency in the transfer market means Inter’s asking price is actually a reasonable one.
