Jose Mourinho has sent out a strong signal that he is likely to agree a transfer move for profit in January.

The Red Devils’ manager has been tipped by many to bring in one or two new faces in the winter as his team looks to maintain any slim hopes of challenging Manchester City.

United’s dip in form which might have cost them the Premier League title came through below-par performances from several players including Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The 28-year-old has rarely featured for the Red Devils over the past month, prompting rumours that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

And when asked whether a deal to sell Mkhitaryan would actually be agreed by the club in January, Mourinho admitted that the move is indeed a possibility.

“If a player is not happy and brings with the request a number we consider good for us, I would never say no.” the United manager said

“That is my approach as a manager. Every player has a price.”

The Armenian star joined Manchester United from Dortmund in the summer of 2016 as one of Mourinho’s immediate new signings after being appointed as manager.
