Manchester United are no longer pursuing a move for Alex Sandro as the club has now switched its attention to Jose Gaya of Valencia.

Due to last summer’s expenses, the Red Devils appear to have a limited budget this time as Jose Mourinho targets cheaper alternatives for positions which will have to be strengthened ahead of next term.

The Sun is reporting that Manchester United are lining up a move to sign Jose Gaya from Valencia, after abandoning their pursuit of Alex Sandro, due to his expensive price tag.

The 23-year-old came to the attention of Europe’s elite last year after starring in the Spanish topflight, before signing a new deal with Valencia which is supposed to keep him at the Mestalla until the summer of 2023.

Gaya, who is currently valued at ($39.7 million) £30 million, could be willing to move to Old Trafford this summer, as he continues to search for his first cap for Spain.
