Mourinho makes U-turn decision on $66.8million transfer move for United
The signing of Diogo Dalot by Manchester United has caused a major shift in the Red Devil’s transfer plans and they have decided to end their interest in Tottenham defender, Danny Rose, according to The Mirror.
Rose has been on Jose Mourinho’s radar from last summer and he appeared to be nearing a $66.8million (£50million) switch to Old Trafford this summer.
However, Jose Mourinho has reportedly informed Ed Woodward that he is happy with the defenders at his disposal at the moment and therefore, they can turn their attention towards strengthening other areas of the team.
Diogo Dalot joins Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian as players who can fill in at left back.
Although Darmian is widely expected to leave for Juventus, Mourinho is satisfied with the remaining options.
Rose is now facing the prospect of moving abroad after he lost his place as Tottenham’s first choice left back.
