Jose Mourinho is comsidering a move which would see him bring Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri to Old Trafford.

Manchester United were lacking a bit of flair in attack last season as they finished several points behind Manchester City in what was a very one-sided race for the Premier League title.

Mourinho has been interested in adding more to his attacking unit, especially after the failure of January Alexis Sanchez to hit the ground running so far.

As per a report by the Sun, United are eying a move to sign Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City which would cost only $15.8million (£12million).

The Switzerland international was one of the best performers for his contry at the World Cup as they bowed out of the tournament through a narrow defeat to Sweden this week.

Shaqiri’s low price tag and the fact he already has Premier League experience means he is a very reasonable transfer target.
