Red Devils have ‘sounded out’ South American over becoming new manager
Manchester United have upped their search for a new permanent manager, and it looks as though the club may attempt to appoint someone before this season comes to an end.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino remains the club’s number one target as permanent manager but the Red Devils are aware that it could be difficult to tempt the Argentine into becoming the new boss.
Due to the potential complications in negotiating a deal with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, Manchester United have reportedly ‘sounded out’ Diego Simeone about becoming the new manager, as per the Mirror.
The Argentine has made Atletico Madrid a household name in world football and due to the appeal of a club like United, he might be open to accepting a new challenge in the Premier League where he has never managed before.
Simeone’s camp have reportedly been contacted by the Red Devils even though Atletico are also interested in extending his contract.
