Manchester United are said to have already been considering whom the potential replacement for Jose Mourinho could be, should the Portuguese tactician end up leaving the club.

Ahead of this season, various stories over the summer suggested that Mourinho’s relationship with the club’s hierarchy was not a strong one and the team’s shaky start to the new year has already solidified those claims.

As per reports, the Red Devils are eyeing former Real Madrid boss Zinidine Zidane as the ‘first choice’ to replace Mourinho.

The club are claimed to be not eager to sack the current United manager but should more problems arise, Zidane has been picked out as the man who may well take over from Mourinho.

After finishing very far behind Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title last season, some fans of the club directed the blame at Mourinho for not willing to tweak his style of football to suit his players.
