Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth is now reporting that the Red Devils will be able to secure the signing of Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic for a set price.

The Red Devils are believed to be in the market for a new attacking midfielder after Jose Mourinho’s admission that he is not done yet with transfer business for the summer.

Ivan Perisic has been frequently linked with a move to Old Trafford and according to Sheth, the Croatia international could join United if a fee of $63 million (£48 million) is paid.

“Talking of Manchester United and their hopes of signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan. Have they improved?” the Sky Sports journalist said

“Well Inter coach Luciano Spalletti wants the player to remain but gave an indication Perisic wants to move to Old Trafford.

“Spalletti is quoted as saying ‘we want him to stay but we have to consider the opinion of the club’ and listen to this ‘and the player’.

“It’s thought an offer of around £48m would tempt Inter Milan to sell Perisic to Manchester United.”
