United could move to sign $81.5m star in hijack deal after president’s interview
Manchester United could be on the verge of hijacking Liverpool’s move for France star, Nabil Fekir this summer.
The Red Devils appear to be looking to sign a new attacking midfielder to strengthen the team which finished behind Manchester City last season and the Ligue 1 star may well be their new target.
According to Manchester Evening News, Lyon president Aulas has admitted that talks have actually been held with United manager Jose Mourinho over the Frenchman.
Fekir, who has an $81.5m price tag, is now a player whom the Red Devils could be pursuing in the transfer market.
“I was with Jose Mourinho the other day. We had long discussions,” said Aulas
“Personally, I am no longer in discussions with Liverpool. At the moment, we are waiting for France and Nabil to have a fantastic World Cup.
“It was expected at a certain point for him to go to Liverpool. I gave the green light. It did not happen because things were dragged out too long.”
