Manchester United have seen the path clear up to secure the signing of Willian from Chelsea this summer, as per Mundo Deportivo‘s report.

Jose Mourinho is understandably interested in bringing a high-profile attacker to Old Trafford after seeing January signing Alexis Sanchez struggle to settle into the team so far.

Willian has been deemed a target for the Red Devils all summer and a new opportunity is now there for Mourinho to sign the man priced at $92.4million (£70million) by the Blues.

United have reportedly been given a clear path to sign the Brazilian international due to the fact that Barcelona have pulled out of the race to sign Willian, following the signing of Malcom on Tuesday.

The Chelsea star was brought to England by Mourinho during the United boss’ reign at Stamford Bridge and many would expect him to not turn down a lucrative switch to Old Trafford if it is offered.
