Manchester United have received a real boost in the bid to complete the signing of Willian from Chelsea.

The Red Devils are targeting a reunion for Willian and Jose Mourinho, and the tabloids have already been tipping the transfer deal to go through.

However, the two clubs seem to be far from reaching an agreement as Chelsea are reluctant to sell to a direct rival after they sold Nemanja Matic to the Red Devils last summer.

Manchester Evening News claims that United have received an encouragement to secure the signature of the Brazilian star, due to Chelsea’s limited transfer budget.

Roman Abramovich, who has been reluctant to provide transfer funds at Stamford Bridge this summer, is reportedly asking for $79.5 million (£60 million) for the sale of Willian.

Due to their tight transfer budget, the Blues may be forced to sell the South American star, who was brought to the Premier League by Jose Mourinho.
