United handed massive injury blow ahead of Basel
Jose Mourinho’s men have been handed a significant injury concern ahead of the clash with Basel in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Red Devils are set to travel to the Swiss side, knowing that their place in the last 16 of the competition is virtually secured.
United prepared for that trip with a thumping win over Newcastle on Saturday which saw them thrash the Magpies 4-1 despite going a goal behind early in the first half.
However, ahead of the upcoming Champions League fixture, United are concerned the likes of Michael Carrick, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones may be sidelined.
According to journalists Ben Dinnery, the trio were not able to take part in the training session before the team’s flight to Basel.
