Manchester United have made a very bold offer to sign Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic this summer.

Despite the arrival of Brazilian international Fred, Mourinho has refused to rule out a deal for another midfielder to help fill the void left by Michael Carrick’s retirement.

Kovacic, who has been a fringe figure at Real Madrid, has emerged as one of the players whom the United boss is pursuing at the moment.

As per Marca‘s claim, United have submitted an offer of $69.9million (€60 million) to sign the 24-year-old.

The Croatian midfielder though, is reportedly not interested in a move to Old Trafford to play under Jose Mourinho’s system.

The Red Devils have not been too active in the transfer market this summer ahead of Mourinho’s third season in charge of the club after replacing Louis van Gaal back in 2016.
