Manchester United appear to have cooled their interest in Harry Maguire after noticing that there could be an opportunity to sign Yerry Mina.

The Red Devils are widely known to be searching for a new centre-back before the start of a new season which will most likely see the team challenge Manchester City for the title.

Leicester City star Harry Maguire has for long been deemed as United’s main centre-back target but Sky Sports are claiming that has changed.

Their report states that Manchester United have turned their focus to signing Yerry Mina from Barcelona instead.

The Colombia international, an $88,000-a-week star, was in outstanding form at the World Cup where he proved to be a serious aerial threat from set pieces.

It might still be a risk for Jose Mourinho to surrender his interest in Maguire who has undoubted experience in the Premier League.

The United boss has made no secret of the fact that he would like to have one more new signing before the window closes.
