United make $51.7m offer to agree signing of 29-year-old
Manchester United have made an offer – which is believed to be their final one – for the signature of Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho is widely known to be not completely satisfied with the options which are at his disposal in the Red Devils’ defence as he looks to challenge local foes Manchester City for the Premier League title next year.
Alderweireld is yet to make a decision over his future at Tottenham, even though he is believed to be seeking a lucrative move to another club where he can earn more than his current wages in London.
As per the Mirror, the Red Devils have made an offer of $51.7million (£40million) to sign the 29-year-old, who featured in the 2018 World Cup for Belgium.
United have also informed Spurs that the latest offer will be the final one, with the club not willing to meet their huge price demands.
