Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has expressed his aspirations for the new campaign as the team begins its pre-season tour.

The Brazilian midfielder, who made his first team debut in 2014, was handed 11 appearances under Louis van Gaal during the 2015/16 season.

Pereira spent last season on loan at Granada where he was in relatively impressive form even though the team was relegated from La Liga.

The 21-year-old insists his spell in Spain has improved him as a player and he is now out to ‘impress’ Mourinho for the new campaign.

“It was a good experience. I learned a lot of things and hopefully I can use them here, back at Manchester United,” Pereira said

“I’m very happy I’m back and be part of this team. I’ll try to do my best to stay here and to help my team-mates and impress the manager.

“I was focused on playing well, learning lot and improving so I can come back and to play and help my team-mates over here.”
