Manchester United are moving into negotiations for the signing of Hirving Lozano from PSV Eindhoven this summer, according to Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils, who have a history of buying players who have performed well in World Cups with Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo both arriving after impressing in 2014, are tipped to secure a deal for the gifted attacking midfielder.

United are reported to be offering $46.9million (£35.4million) to bring Lozano to the Premier League as what is expected to be Anthony Martial’s replacement.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly convinced the 22-year-old to join the club after talks with the player’s agent Mino Raiola over the weekend; and that relationship was key to the capture of the Mexican, who helped his country reach the round of 16 of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Lozano has scored 19 goals in 34 appearances for PSV, who were crowned champions of the Dutch top-flight last season.
