Manchester United have been given the price they have to pay if they are to sign Leonardo Bonucci from AC Milan.

Only a year after signing the veteran defender, Milan are looking to let go of him for some profit which could help resolve their current financial worries.

As per a report by Talk Sport, United have been quoted a fee of $40.8million (£31million) for the signing of Bonucci.

The Red Devils have been eying a move for Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld this summer but Spurs’ inability to agree a deal means United will have to look elsewhere for a new centre-back.

Paris Saint-Germain are also battling United in the race for Bonucci, who was at his best during his time at Juventus where he won several Serie A titles.

Rollercoaster performances from the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling last year means Mourinho is justified to be searching for a new defender.
