As per a report by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are indeed looking to make a very expensive move in a bid to lure Kylian Mbappe away from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Red Devils relied heavily on Romelu Lukaku for goals last season as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial remained behind the Belgium international in the pecking order while January signing Alexis Sanchez failed to impress.

Adding one or two more big-name strikers to the squad is still Jose Mourinho’s ambition as he looks to challenge champions Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.

United are reportedly preparing to make an offer of at least $394.7million (£300million) to sign Mbappe, one of the most coveted names in football today.

The young striker, who joined PSG from AS Monaco last summer, followed up a decent debut season for the French champions by performing superbly at the 2018 World Cup where he scored four goals in total.
