Manchester United are ready to make a move to sign Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele on a temporary basis.

The France international endured a frustrating debut campaign at the Nou Camp, with injury limiting him to just 14 starts in all competitions after his expensive move from Borussia Dortmund as Neymar’s replacement.

Barcelona are reportedly considering the idea of sending Dembele out on loan in order to speed up his development and help him regain his full match fitness.

Reports are claiming that United would be interested in taking the 21-year-old to Old Trafford on a temporary basis as they look to gain more numbers in attack and challenge Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table next year.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with moves for the former Bundesliga star, who is currently with his country at the World Cup.

Dembele, a $292,000-a-week star, scored just four goals in 23 appearances for Barcelona during his debut campaign.
