Manchester United are looking to take advantage of their relationship with the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mendes, in a bid to bring the 33-year-old star back to England this summer.

The Portugal international sent out a clear hint after the Champions League final that he may no longer remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for next season.

As per reports via Team Talk, Manchester United are hoping to secure a reunion with Ronaldo and they have been informed that his proposed $116.9million (£88million) transfer to Juventus has not been completed yet.

The Red Devils are preparing to hijack the Serie A side’s deal for Ronaldo and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is looking at what it would take for United to secure a transfer for the attacker.

Jose Mendes is the current agent of the prolific goalscorer and Jose Mourinho and Woodward are set to enter talks with the super agent in a bid to force through a transfer move.
