Manchester United have been given the green-light to agree a transfer for Marco Verratti after the midfielder was offered to the Red Devils by his agent Mino Raiola, as per a report by Metro.

Calcio Mercato are also claiming the Italy international is unhappy at Parc des Princes after meeting with new PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel.

The report indicates Tuchel has informed Verratti – a player priced at $118million by PSG – that his fitness is below acceptable, ruining his relationship with the Italian midfielder as a result.

Veratti’s future in Paris is now in serious doubt and his agent has given Mourinho the green-light to bring him to England, even though United have just completed the signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk ahead of the World Cup.

With Fellaini on his way out as well as Michael Carrick who looks set to join Mourinho’s backroom staff, the Red Devils may have to do all they can to get Verratti to Old Trafford.
