Manchester United are claimed to be firmly in pursuit of the signing of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, instead of his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo and that is according Duncan Styles.

The Red Devils are a side who are insterested in bringing in big names this summer, in order to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League crown next season.

According to journalist Duncan Castles via the Daily Star, the Red Devils are making an effort to sign Gareth Bale, a man who is priced at $263.3million, instead of Ronaldo.

“Ronaldo’s agent has met with Florentino Perez to try and push the matter and get the contract he feels, and Cristiano feels, he deserves.” Castles claimed while speaking on the ‘Transfer Window Podcast’

“And they have got no positive response to that.

“The stance at present it is unlikely he will remain at Real Madrid beyond the end of the summer and they are looking for outs.

“They don’t think Manchester United is a strong possibility because United are well stocked in that area of the field and more likely to recruit on the right-hand side of attack and are working on a deal for Gareth Bale.”
