Manchester United have found another midfielder who would not cost an arm and a leg as an alternative to $105.9million-rated (£88million) star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Red Devils are reportedly still in the market for a new midfielder even after signing Fred last week with Jose Mourinho needing to replace Marouane Fellaini who looks set to leave.

Milinkovic-Savic has been the club’s number-one target but the price being quoted by Lazio might just be too much for the Red Devils to afford.

Thus, the Sun claims Manchester United have now turned their attention elsewhere in a bid to sign AS Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Pellegrini joined the Italian side last season for £9 million and he has impressed in his 12 months at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Red Devils have also been linked with a move for Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic, even though he would also be an expensive alternative.
