Manchester United have now lost three games on the bounce in all competitions and it is certainly not looking pretty for new boss Ruben Amorim, regardless of how rough his transition was expected to be.

The team appeared to have turned a corner, courtesy of that dramatic 2-1 victory at fierce rivals Manchester City almost two weeks ago. However, the results that have followed the derby win have simply not been good enough.

Club captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off for a second yellow card, two minutes into the second half, having already been dismissed twice this season against Tottenham at Old Trafford and Porto in the Europa League.

Wolves took full advantage of being a man up as Matheus Cunha became the second player in three games to score directly from a corner against the Red Devils.

The host wrapped up another miserable outing for Manchester United in the eighth minute of added time when they broke and Cunha squared the ball for Hwang Hee-chan to make it 2-0.

The defeat leaves Amorim’s side sitting in 14th place in the Premier League table, eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Indeed, star fan ‘Flex’ from UnitedView fears the Red Devils may continue their poor run for another month at least, due to the daunting list of fixtures now coming their way in the new year.
