One of the effects of enjoying a consistent start to the campaign is having certain players who might not be involved in the action as much as they would have desired.

Jose Mourinho appears to have found his best starting eleven along with an additional four or five players to use when required in order to have a plan B for most games.

But in the midst of that early-season success, players like Matteo Darmian, who have not been handed regular action may ask for more from the United manager.

The 27-year-old defender has failed to retain a starting role at either left or right full-back since joining the club in the summer of 2015 and in a new interview, Darmian has admitted that a return to Italy could be possible.

“I made a choice (to come to Manchester United) and I don’t regret it,” Darmian was quoted as saying by Metro

“Of course it’s normal that any player wants to play as much as possible. I work hard every week and I’ll keep doing it.

“I don’t always watch Italian football and I don’t know what will happen in future, maybe there will be a chance to come back one day.”
