FC Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho is claimed to be ‘tempted by Manchester United’ after growing unhappy with his current role at the club, as per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian star completed a move to the Camp Nou only a year ago as Premier League rivals Liverpool received a record transfer fee in return which helped them strengthen their squad by spending on new signings.

Coutinho made a bright start to life in Spain but as per reports from Spain, the midfielder has been left frustrated by a lack of playing time at Barcelona and a move to United seems tempting.

The ex-Inter Milan star was a thorn in the flesh of the Red Devils on most of the occasions that Liverpool faced United during his time in the Premier League.

The midfielder has been left out of the starting eleven at Barcelona in the last four league matches after losing his place in the side to French forward Ousmane Dembele.

Mundo Deportivo’s report adds that Coutinho may look to give his situation at Barca a chance to improve but he is no longer dismissing a move to Old Trafford.
