Ibrahimovic backs this United player to get into Mourinho’s starting eleven
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not getting much playing time himself but that has not stopped him from backing other teammates who are deserving of a place in the team.
The Swedish striker moved back to Old Trafford during the summer after initially saying goodbye to the club at the end of the 2016/17 season.
Ibrahimovic’s return has seen him reunited with his countryman Victor Lindelof who also secured a transfer to the club during the summer of 2017.
The 23-year-old has been in and out of the Manchester United starting eleven so far in his debut season.
Thus, Ibrahimovic has handed Lindelof the backing he needs to be given an opportunity by Jose Mourinho.
“I think it has been tough, it has not been easy,” he said. “There was great expectations and he did not get much game time.”
“We talk every day, he grows and gets better. It’s all about getting into it and taking a place in the team. It is about confidence and finding his role.
“I try to support Vigge all the time and he trains really hard. And he really wants to do his best. He is good.”
