Italian reporter claims United have ‘agreement reached’ over $47.6m acquisition
Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano is suggesting that Manchester United are on the brink of signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer managed to secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League for his side last season and with Champions League football now back at Old Trafford, the onus is on the club to bring in some big names to compete with the remainder of Europe’s elite.
Well, as per Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have done well to reach an agreement with Ajax over the signing of Donny van de Beek in a deal which will cost around $47.6 million.
Van de Beek to Man United, here we go! Man Utd tonight as expected have sent their official bid and Ajax just accepted without any negotiation. Agreement reached for €40m + add ons. Paperworks and medicals on next week. 🔴 #MUFC

Writer’s Opinion
During the second half of last season, we all saw the reward that a manager can enjoy from spending in the right areas of the team.
Perhaps even more that Bruno Fernandes, Van de Been is a player who posseses creativity and lots of quality in the final third and looking at the amount of pace and goals we have in that frontline of Martial, Greenwood and Rashford, the Dutchman is exactly what this team needs.
The deal is not completely sealed just yet of course but we definitely have to be thankful for the Glazers’ decision to splash some cash and frankly in their defense, the Glazers have actually spent well when needed over the past 12 to 18 months.
