Paul Scholes has picked out a couple of Manchester United players who should be included in the starting line-up for Sunday’s game.

Jose Mourinho’s side succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the European Super Cup on Tuesday with new signing Romelu Lukaku scoring the consolation strike.

The clash with Zinidine Zidane’s men also provided the United manager with an opportunity to witness how well prepared his team is for the new season.

Two players who might have made a good impression on Mourinho are Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini.

The duo were introduced as substitutes in the second half after initially being left on the bench for the game.

And according to Scholes, Fellaini and Rashford deserve to feature from the start in this weekend’s Premier League season opener against West Ham.

“I think if you are looking at the team for Sunday, he (Mourinho) should probably go with the team that finished (against Madrid) rather than the team that started.” Scholes said

“There was a bit more pace and a bit more physicality from Fellaini when he came on. Rashford was a lot more of a handful than Lingard was.”
