Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has slammed Paul Pogba for his comments after the 3-2 loss to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The former United star, who won 11 Premier League titles with the club under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, has never been afraid to tell it like it is when the Red Devils are not performing well.

After the loss to Brighton, Paul Pogba, who has already dominated the headlines over the past week for not being on good terms with Jose Mourinho, admitted that “I put myself first, that my attitude wasn’t right enough” to the media.

It is a statement which surprised Paul Scholes and the ex-United star believes Pogba is clearly guilty of an attitude problem based on his post-match comments.

“I hope that is lost in translation,” the legendary midfielder said.

“There is no defence for that comment, there is no defence for it.

“You say it to yourself, don’t you? You’re constantly saying to yourself: “Attitude right, make sure it’s right.”

“You don’t need other people to tell you. You don’t need a manager to tell you that or your team-mates.”
