Manchester United have given fans more positive news this month after agreeing a new deal with star striker Anthony Martial on Thursday.

The Frenchman missed the 2018 FIFA World Cup after an indifferent season at Old Trafford last term which saw him fail to keep a starting spot in the first team.

However, after the departure of former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho last month, Martial has redeemed the form which saw him finish a season as the team’s top scorer prior to Mourinho’s arrival.

There had been rumors of an exit for Martial, who was being chased by Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur for much of last summer.

But on Thursday, the club wrapped things up by agreeing a new contract with the striker which will see him earn a huge amount of $262,000-a-week in wages.

Martial has now committed him self to the club till 2024 and that can only be great news for a team back on the rise under Solskjaer.
