Based on reports, Jose Mourinho is moving urgently to bring in a new attacking midfielder who can enhance his underperforming squad.

The Red Devils manager has seen his side drop out of the title race after back-to-back draws against Leicester City and Burnley in the Premier League.

Therefore, Mourinho has been put under serious pressure to spend more on new signings when the transfer window opens next month.

As a result, United have made an offer to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus according to a report by the Sun.

The Red Devils have reportedly submitted an offer of £70million plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan for the highly-rated 24-year-old star.

However, Juventus have turned down United’s approach, insisting that only a bid of around £86m will be accepted for Dybala.

United appear to have withdrawn their interest in Antoine Griezmann for now and the new target is Dybala who is also very familiar with Paul Pogba due to their time together at Juventus.

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will return with another bid for the South American star but Mkhitaryan is unlikely to be part of the deal since Juventus are not interested in signing any more wingers.
